What I’ve been up to…

One of the most meaningful experiences of my entire life, Midsummer in Oxford with BADA allowed me to study Shakespeare’s works with the backdrop of Magdalen College at Oxford University. I worked specifically on Shakespeare’s The Tempest, where I and two other women portrayed a cleaved-in-three version of the spirit, Ariel. We performed in the president of the college’s garden for our fellow classmates and families, amounting to one of my favorite productions I’ve ever been a part of.

Broke People Play Festival,
NYU

During my time at NYU, I took part in the Broke People Play Festival, an entirely student run play festival that produces one acts, full length plays, and puts on readings for those who want to hear their work out loud.

I worked with director Demetrius Winegarden on a one act called Looking Up, written by Caitlyn Yu. I acted across from Phoebe Eskovitz, another NSB alum, and together, we all created a very meaningful piece of work that focused on themes of religious guilt.

For my senior year musical, I got to play Shakespeare in Something Rotten. It was something out of my comfort zone, which was exactly why I wanted to do it! Not only did I have so much fun playing the rock-star version of the playwright, I also learned that I can tackle roles that, on paper, don’t seem like fitting roles for me.

I’ll always hold such fond memories of this production, and have to much gratitude to everyone who helped make it the wonderful experience it was.
